FAQ
Will Kasicare screen or interview candidates?
As a recruitment platform, we facilitate the introduction of candidates and provide detailed profiles with verifiable supporting documents whenever available (ex: reference letters, employment contracts, overseas working permits…).
Families remain are in control of interviewing, background checking and negotiating employment terms.
Who are the job seekers registered on Kasicare?
Our network includes over 8000 job seekers looking for employment in Jakarta. They are nannies, housekeepers, home cooks, drivers and caregivers looking for Live In/Out positions, full time or part time.
Many have previous experience and recommendation letters from expat families, as well as experience overseas (Hong-Kong, Singapore, Middle East…).
Does Kasicare take a commission on the workers salary?
No. We do not charge workers fees and never confiscate their original documents. Such predatory practices are widely used by employment agencies and hurt both job seekers and employers alike.
At Kasicare, we pride ourselves on doing things differently, by building an ethical platform that allows workers to choose and commit to the employment opportunities that really suit them.
A win-win for both employers and workers!
When is a good time to start a search?
The time around Ramadan and the few weeks that follow are generally most challenging. Most domestic workers are not from Jakarta and take their annual leave right after Ramadan to go back to their home town (2-3 weeks).
Generally speaking, it is best to start a search 2-3 weeks prior to the starting date. This gives job seekers about a week to apply to your vacancy, and 1-2 weeks for you to shortlist and interview candidates.
For families who are moving to Jakarta, we recommend beginning the search 1-2 weeks before arrival. That way, interviews can be lined up upon arrival.
What if the worker I hired decides to quit or I realize he/she is not a good fit for my family?
Both you and the worker are free to end the employment relationship as per the terms you agreed upon.
Feel free to contact us anytime, we will happily assist you with a new search.
